Jeannette Ferran Astorga is Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at the Ascena Retail Group, a leading Fortune 500 specialty retailer and parent Company of fashion brands serving women and girls – Dressbarn, Maurices, Lane Bryant, Catherines, Justice, Ann Taylor, LOFT, Lou & Grey.

In this role, Jeannette leads the global team responsible for corporate responsibility, supply chain compliance, global Diversity & Inclusion, corporate philanthropy, and the Ascena Foundation – supporting 65K+ associates across company offices, stores, and its global supply chain. Jeannette has been a driving force behind the Company’s social impact and sustainability initiatives. Under her leadership, the Company implemented programs to drive positive working environments for factory workers globally.

Jeannette has told interviewers that her proudest accomplishments include the development of the 100,000 Women Commitment – a 5-year initiative to support women in the supply chain; as well as the launch of the Responsibly Ann website – the Company’s first corporate social responsibility website and reporting platform.

Under Jeannette’s program leadership, the Company was the first women’s specialty retailer to join the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and become a signatory to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, guidelines that aim to advance women in their work and community environments.

Jeannette received her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Business Administration at Fordham University in New York. She is a member of the Board of Industry Advisors for LIM College in New York and has been featured as a conference guest speaker providing guidance on global CSR at industry forums, including NRF’s Big Show, WWD’s Global Sourcing Forums, American Apparel and Footwear conferences and at the United Nations.
