Sam works for the NYC Mayor's Office of Sustainability where he focuses on programs and policies that aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from New York City's nearly one million buildings. One of his projects, the NYC Carbon Challenge, is a voluntary greenhouse gas reduction program in which the City of New York partners with private and institutional sector leaders to showcase their commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. Previously, Sam served as an outreach coordinator at Solar One, a non-profit environmental education organization, where he provided support for New York State clean energy programs.
